In my first blog I briefly mentioned that I had been given a place on the Dream On Blossom development programme.
As the programme has now begun, I thought I would tell you more. Dream On is a social enterprise based in Suffolk that offers personal advice and coaching to women from all walks of life. Their group workshops and individual coaching focus on finding your strengths, developing self-esteem and discovering techniques for improving your well-being.
There were fourteen lovely ladies at my first workshop. Having been greeted by Dream On’s gorgeous chocolate Labrador (surely the perfect icebreaker?!) in the surroundings of the organisation’s beautiful clothes shop, we were introduced to the programme’s founder, Bridget McIntyre.
Bridget told us her story, and we talked about our own hopes and fears. We began to discover our learning styles, and bonded over homemade black treacle flapjacks. I was delighted to be given a bright pink goody bag containing a voucher for a Makeover Day in January – what a great start to 2017!
It was wonderful to meet with a group of women with shared experiences, and I’m certain that firm friendships will be made over the next year. I’m already dreaming of the day when I can proudly say that I have achieved my Blossom Development Award.
