The Instantaneous Magic of Twitter

One of the best things about this new venture is that I have been contacted by lots of wonderful people that I have worked for in the past. Just one of these is the lovely team from Arena Partnership; it turns out that the timing of my launch was impeccable for them.

Arena provide a range of web-based services for social housing associations to manage engagement with their tenants. When they contacted me, they were holding a stand advertising their product, TP Tracker, at the National Housing Federation Conference – in just SEVEN days’ time.

Managing Director Alan needed an intensive Twitter campaign, whilst also tidying up and breathing new life into the @ArenaP_ship account. Step forward Lucy Gurteen – prepared to tackle any marketing emergency!

With a mixture of scheduling, live tweeting, image gathering and networking, we have achieved 39 likes, 15 retweets and 10 new followers in just 6 days – a great result for an account with 300 followers that had been dormant for 6 months.

This was a great project for me – wonderful to be in touch with old colleagues, and exciting to troubleshoot and breathe life into a social media presence. This has always been a speciality of mine, and I pride myself on my knack of turning accounts from invisible to influential.

Long may our reunion continue!
